Backstory:
Molly McGee lives to make the world a better place, fix what has gone wrong, and spread joy. Meanwhile, cantankerous ghost Scratch lives to make the world a worse place, break what has gone right, and spread misery. When a curse from Scratch backfires, he finds himself forever bound to Molly as her best friend forever and ever and ever. Despite that, Scratch and Molly form an unlikely friendship that guides each of them through the ups and downs of their respective worlds. Across the duo's adventures they learn a whole lot about life, each other, and friendship.
After saving the Human and Ghost realms multiple times, Scratch discovers his true past and that he was in fact one Todd Mortenson who is still very much alive. Todd lived a horrifically mundane and empty life, going through the routine day in and day out, leading to his very soul detaching from his body. After discovering this, Scratch made the decision to take another chance in life at the risk of forgetting all he did as a ghost. He left Brighton as a new man, happy with life and adventuring with his best friend. It’s left up to interpretation whether he truly remembers his adventure with Molly or not.
Before We Start:
This bio will be using all Ghost and Molly McGee media, with the show obviously taking priority. Secondary media includes Ghost and Molly McGee Bandshell Boo-nanza, Disney Mazes, Chibi Tiny Tales, How NOT to Draw Scratch and Theme Song Takeovers. The leaked season 3 scripts will be included as they were originally fully meant to proceed the second season. Info from the audio descriptions of Ghost and Molly McGee episodes will be used here. It’s notable that the Chibiverse versions of Molly and Scratch are seperate people (see) however their direct feats will be included anyways, mainly since they support canon scaling and are fun. They won’t get any scaling to other Disney franchises.
Skill And Experience:
While Molly doesn’t have much direct combat experience herself, Scratch is well used to physical scraps and has been using his magic for decades. Scratch can conjure a curse for just about anything though he usually drops the ball by adding “eternity” or “forever in there.
Arsenal:
Bracelets: Molly is a champ of arts and crafts, her particular favorite seemingly being friendship bracelets. Her most useful being her anti-magic bracelets which gives her an impenetrable barrier against magic based attacks and curses.
Chairman Robe: The robe that solidifies Scratch as the head of the Ghost World, not only does it instantly intimidate anyone when he puts it on, but it also gives him far greater power than an average ghost.
Book of Rare Curses: A book filled with rare and powerful curses exclusively to be used by the Chairman. (Scratch is too lazy so he just lets Molly read it anyway lmao)
The Lucky Penny: A magical penny that Scratch inflicted with supernatural luck, whoever wields it will have everything go their way. When in the hands of someone who’s already lucky (Such as Molly herself) it starts a kind of “luck whirlpool” in which it sucks in luck from surrounding people, causing chaos and misfortune to the entire area.
Sledgehammer: Used by Scratch while he possessed Molly's body, used to threaten middle schoolers with violence into working harder. (I love Scratch.)
Mints by Molly: For some inexplicable reason, Molly has her own homemade mint brand.
Milly McGee: Molly's iconic Canadian cousin, Milly McGee, ay! Totally not Molly in a disguise, definitely not. No. She loves maple syrup on everything, even on maple syrup.
Abilities:
Joy: Inside Molly brews a force greater than any other in existence, the sheer joy and
Good Luck: In the Ghost and Molly McGee universe, luck as a concept is very much a real thing, with some people possessing more or less than others. Molly herself has notably high luck naturally.
Telekinesis: Scratch routinely utilizes telekinesis to lift objects and people dozens of times throughout the show.
Telepathy: Molly and Scratch are somehow capable of in-depth non-verbal communication. (9:00)
Magic: Despite Molly’s hatred of street magic, she’s extremely experienced and skilled in it herself in order to “know her enemy.” In the Magician Competition, it’s shown she has numerous impressive tricks such as levitation and telekinesis, most of the tricks she performs are literally impossible for a normal person to perform, you can make a genuine argument that she just straight up has powers. Even if these are all really slide of hand, she needs absolutely zero preparation to enact these abilities.
Portal Creation: Scratch casually capable of making portals to the Ghost Realm with the wave of his hand. They are perfect as an excuse to leave any boring conversation, however if a mortal jumps through the portal their mortal body and soul will be split.
Duplication: Scratch is capable of duplicating himself a multitude of times with seemingly no limit.
Possession: Can pull the classic ghost possession, be it on any human or Molly herself.
Summoning: Scratch conjured up a ghost shark from his own imagination.
Electricity Manipulation: Alongside Ollie somehow created enough energy to restore electricity across all of Brighton.
Luck Curse: Scratch is capable of harnessing someone’s luck and moving it elsewhere, inflicting them with bad luck. He can either infuse it with other individuals or inanimate objects.
Soul Sealing Curse: In the episode “A Doll to Die For,” Scratch has a curse in order to seal a soul away into any vessel of his choice.
Mind Curse: In the episode “All in the Mind,” Scratch has a curse that allows him and Molly to enter someone's subconscious.
Age Curse: Scratch has a curse to turn someone from 13 years old to 30 years old though we never see them use this one.
FONAA Curse: Scratch has a curse capable of completely removing someone's fear entirely.
Empathic Manipulation: Scratch is able to stop people from feeling negative emotions for up to 13 seconds.
Time Loop Curse: In the episode “The Perfect Day,” Molly and Scratch use a curse that allows Molly to reset the day with the wave of her hand.
TV Curse: In the script for the season 3 episode “Molly and Scratch Solve It All,” Scratch utilizes a TV Curse to “turn reality into what we see on TV.” The duo warps between dozens of genre parodies in hijinks and such.
The Dream Infiltration Curse: (a curse with an actual name oh my god) In the season 3 script “I Dream of Nintari,” Scratch uses a dream infiltration curse to invade the minds of Sharron and Pete in order to manipulate their thoughts into doing what he wants.
Broadway Force: Everyone in the Ghost and Molly McGee world seems to have a limited form of broadway force, gaining random abilities and powers.
Fourth Wall Awareness: Both Molly and Scratch are fully aware of their presence as fictional characters, Molly has spoken directly to the audience and attempted to rewind the episode.
Resistances: Molly and Scratch have a number of resistances.
-Heat: Scratch is completely fine after eating chips so hot they make you physically spit fire.
-Biological Manipulation: Molly was unaffected by extensive time in Brighton Park and Brighton River, Brighton public water is apparently lethal enough to cause instant death.
-Fear Manipulation: Molly isn’t scared by any of Scratch’s usual acts which can inflict fainting and even death on occasion.
-Power Nullification: In the season 2 pen-ultimate finale, Molly was completely drained of her joy energy of which she easily recovered with a little positive thinking.
Forms:
Wraith Molly: Upon stepping through one of Scratch’s portals, Molly’s soul is removed from her body and exists metaphysically as a wraith. She has all the same powers and abilities as Scratch, but Molly’s positivity and joy is so potent it’s a genuine source of power for her, anything she touches will be magically transmuted with light and joy.
Ghost Friend M: The ultimate fusion of Molly and Scratch. Utilizing a technique extremely similar to the Metamoran Fusion from Dragon Ball, they create Ghost Friend M. Assuming this fusion works the same as Dragon Ball fusion, this form should be exponentially more powerful than the sum of its parts.

Scaling:
Fellow Brightonians:
What’s a forever home without some forever friends to go along with it? Molly and Scratch have a tight-knit gang of friends including both natural and supernatural pals. Molly and Scratch obviously upscale anyone else in Brighton as everyone else was powerless in the finale while Molly and Scratch saved the day.
- Brighton citizens are strong enough to easily flip over cars over a soft ball game. (5:02)
- Andrea Davenport survived being shocked by the charge of a thousand balloons.
- With a drone, Ollie created a decently large explosion inside a convention center. (5:58)
- Mayor Bronson survived a cotton candy machine blowing up in his face. (7:30)
- Libby survived getting struck by lightning. (1.19 Tons of TNT)
- Mayor Bronson could destroy Perfektborg in one step.

Residents of the Ghost World:
The residents of the mysterious Ghost World, some nice, some not so nice. Molly and Scratch upscale everyone here as the Chairman slayer and Chairman respectively, The Chairman being the ruler and by far the most powerful resident of the Ghost World.
- Ezekiel Tugbottom, who can conjure hurricanes that cover all of Brighton. (533.5 Kilotons of TNT)
- Sonia Davis, who created a storm that covered Brighton and could’ve trapped the town in “eternal winter.” (49.2 Megatons of TNT)
- Some rando tanked Death Valley exploding. (518.8 Gigatons or Large Island level)
- The Chairman drew from all the negative energy of living creatures and likely harnessed all the negative energy of the Ghost Realm and Human Realm, both of which have shown to have starry skies. (33.76 ExaFOE, likely Universal)
- After absorbing all the electricity of Brighton, an ectoplasm creature claimed it would “ascend to higher celestial planes.” (9:50) (Possibly 4D but probably nah)
Jinx:
The biggest admirer of the Chairman before Molly blew that dude up. Jinx is a fairly average ghost, but her most powerful feats are while using the Chairman robe, which Scratch owns and Molly upscales.
- Claimed she would destroy the Human Realm, and actually did destroy the Ghost Realm. This more likely refers to wreaking havoc on a planet-wide scale. (12:40)
- With the Chairman Robe, she warped the Earth's sun into a black hole. (421 MegaFOE)
- She dodging a rainbow beam from Molly, it’s notable that Molly is described as glowing and giving off light throughout this song. (FTL)
- Reacts to a wave which the audio description describes as “a burst of heavenly light.” (FTL)
Weaknesses:
-Molly and Scratch both have a tendency to be easily distracted.
-Molly has a hatred of street magic and other tricks, she gets crabby and paranoid whenever such is present.
-Scratch is lazy and often puts his own foot in his mouth with his curses.
Conclusion:
Attack Potency/Durability: Solar System level at worst from Jinx’s Black Hole, likely Universal from Scratch’s Luck Manipulation and the Chairman drawing the power of both the Human and Ghost Realm. Possibly higher with that 4D thing but that's whatever.
Speed: Relativistic from the duo hitting a softball to the moon, like FTL+ from several instances of light and laser dodging.
- Has a massive list of spells and curses with numerous game ending hax such as...
- Luck Manipulation
- BFR
- Soul Sealing
- Summoning/Conjuring
- Possession
- Duplication
- Complete immunity to most forms of harm as well as energy absorption.
- Low Diffs Anne and Luz.
And that’s Molly and Scratch. Not bad for a silly cartoon about a chipper girl and her lazy ghost bestie. See ya next time and Happy Halloween!
